Best Bear Ltd was established in 1998 to create the only comprehensive and quality controlled guide to childcare agencies across the UK, in order to help parents make informed and safe decisions when choosing childcare services.

Best Bear provides a unique and ongoing testing and vetting of childcare agencies throughout the UK, using a proven and unique research methodology. To date over 1,000 agencies have been investigated and only those that passed our stringent testing have been invited to advertise their agency details on the Best Bear website. Click here for a list of all Recommended Agencies currently listed on the Best Bear site. We also have a list of all agencies who have been checked and have passed our vetting process here.

Best Bear has subsequently expanded to provide the most comprehensive one stop shop for childcare services for parents, childcarers, agencies, nurseries and employers.

Best Bear offers parents and nurseries the opportunity to place job adverts in front of the thousands of childcarers who regularly use the Best Bear website. To ensure that parents have complete peace of mind when recruiting a childcarer, Best Bear also offers a comprehensive and cost effective reference checking service.

Parents can also browse through childcarer CVs that have been posted on Best Bear by childcarers looking for a new opportunity. Best Bear also provides information on over 35,000 day nurseries.

For childcarers, there is a comprehensive job search facility, which includes adverts posted by parents and agencies looking for a childcarer. Childcarers can also upload their CV to the website, free of charge. Best Bear also offers a wide range of information on first aid courses.

The website also has an 'Ask the expert' facility as well as regular news stories, articles and competitions.
